(Coaches 1681-1710 and 1806-1840 were imported)

Building continued until 1933
 
Seat 39 x 2nd class passengers or sleep 39 x 2nd class passengers
 
11 x 5.5 inch journals, except 1806-1840, 2116-2150 and 8701-8830, which had roller bearings

Tare varies between 39 tons 15 cwt and 42 tons 14.4 cwt

 
Note:
All information and data is based on the type as it was in 1966.
 
Note also that apartheid was being enforced at that time and coaches designated
with a -C suffix had the relevant markings as shown in these drawings.
